The Roloffs, who rose to fame on the hit reality show Little People, Big World, have tragically lost several loved ones. Despite the heartache and pain, the family is now closer than ever. Matt Roloff has had a difficult year following the death of his father, Ronald James Roloff. The 60-year-old took to Instagram to express his love for his father, who died aged 84. The Roloffs mourn the loss of their beloved father, whom his 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren called “Dad.”
Ron was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who touched the lives of many with his undying love and devotion. His steadfast faith in Jesus was evident throughout his life, even in his last hours on earth. He was an inspiration to all who were lucky enough to cross his path. Matt was dealing with the loss of his beloved father to chronic lymphocytic leukemia and the death of his younger brother, Josh.
Josh died at the age of 34 from serious heart and lung problems that had plagued him since childhood. The death of these two important people saddened the entire Roloff family.
Amy and Matt’s family is devastated by the deaths of Josh and Patricia Knight, just months after Amy reconciled with her second husband, Chris Marek. They dedicated the book Small Family, Big Values to Josh to celebrate and continue his legacy. They chose him to be a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend in their short but important life. Although he is no longer with them on earth, he believes that they will all be reunited in heaven when the time comes.
Unfortunately, her family learned that her mother was rushed to the hospital, but died a few days later. Amy was in a state of despair and uncertainty as she tried to process the complex emotions she was experiencing.
Their son Jacob never met or interacted with his mother-in-law. Jacob and Isabel got married in 2019. However, it is not known when the two met. Their paths did not cross until Isabelle’s brother Thomas Garrenton was tragically killed in a train accident in 2012.
Isabelle swore with Jacob that she would make sure her child understood everything about her beloved brother. “He understands who you are. He understands your sense of humor that makes me laugh when I’m down and your talent as a musician before you die,” he said publicly. Uncle Thomas knows everything about you.
Isabel was heartbroken when her beloved mother, Toni Garreton, died two years after her brother’s death. He was saddened by this tragic death while walking along the familiar road of his hometown, which he had visited many times with his mother.
Isabel smelled her mother’s perfume and at that moment she heard her mother laugh. These memories flooded Isabel, reminding her how much they loved each other and how much time they spent together.
Despite the pain of such a terrible loss, Isabelle is grateful for all the experiences and moments she shared with her mother. Those moments are something you will cherish for the rest of your life.
