James Anderson, a 52-year-old plumber, is committed to making sure that the underprivileged have access to high-quality plumbing and boiler maintenance services at little to no cost.
The numerous instances of abuse and the way the elderly are treated moved him to tears. He was troubled to see how a young engineer treated an old man.
He wasn’t happy with how things turned out, so he made the decision to do something about the many people who are in desperate need of his knowledge but cannot afford to pay.
In 2017, James shut down his private company and launched Depher.
Depher is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to offer free or significantly discounted installation, maintenance, and repair services for pipelines and boilers to people who might not otherwise be able to afford them.
He is adamant that it shouldn’t be happening in this day and age for the elderly and the disabled to perish from a cold home because they couldn’t afford to fix their boiler.

Since its launch in 2017, Depher has assisted countless elderly, disabled, and underprivileged people in finding plumbing solutions.
James wants to help as many people as possible, so he’s started to take action to encourage more professionals to join this fantastic movement.
One of these numerous acts of kindness caught everyone’s attention when a bill was paid online.
The elderly woman who was diagnosed with acute leukemia and who was ostensibly receiving end-of-life care was listed in this bill as having received all the services he has provided and plans to provide.
He listed the procedures he performed on the boiler and some leaks he fixed in the description column.
The 91-year-old woman’s plumbing needs will be attended to around-the-clock, he continued, and he vowed to do everything in his power to keep her as comfortable as possible. He also added that he and his team will always be on call to help.
Just this has received numerous likes and comments on social media from people all over the world. All the support he can get is needed because it’s truly admirable.
James is one of those people who has gone above and beyond to put the needs of others before their own, and the world is truly in desperate need of him.
You might be surprised to learn that James is now deeply in debt as a result of his act of kindness.
The business owes more than £8000 right now.
Although they are currently in debt, this has in no way stopped them from providing these services to those in need for little to no cost.
He claimed he would rather incur debt than remain silent and let the poor perish in a cold home.
