A woman with a sad face in civilian clothes entered the supermarket!
He approached the host and asked if he could pick up some products and pay later.
In a soft voice, she explained that her husband was too sick to work and that she had seven children and needed food. The store owner asked the security guard to kick the woman out of the store. But the woman thought of her family and continued to plead:
“Please, I will pay as soon as possible.” The shop owner said he could not lend food to strangers. A customer was standing at the entrance of the store listening to the conversation.
A customer came and told the owner that he was interested in his wife’s food, but the owner ignored him. The store owner called the woman and asked, “Do you have a shopping list?” he asked
“All right.” “Okay, put your list on the scale and I’ll feed you while you weigh the list,” he said. He stopped for a moment, took a piece of paper and wrote on it. Then the woman nervously placed the paper on the scale. Soon it sank like scales and stones. The shop owner and customers looked at him with surprised expressions. The store owner started putting food on the other side of the scale but it wouldn’t move so more food came out but the scale didn’t fit so I couldn’t help myself and took the paper.
Just to see if it works. The shop owner was surprised when he saw the newspaper and read it…
It wasn’t a shopping list, it was a prayer: “Lord, you know my need and I leave this situation in your hands.”
The store owner gave the woman all the food on the scale and was silent as he left the store.
