Ozzy Osbourne found that when he was actively using drugs, medical professionals had to give him four times the usual amount of anesthetic to put him to sleep for surgery.

The Black Sabbath frontman, 73, said the doctor who treated him asked why he was “not sleeping yet” when they gave him the medication he needed before the operation. In 2003, when Ozzy was involved in a near-fatal ATV accident, things were very different.

Since then, Ozzy’s vacation has come and gone, and it’s clear that he’s leading a much more disciplined lifestyle than before. “There was a method to it all,” Ozzy said in an interview with SiriusXM Radio.

People uploading stuff: “How long have you been making this music?” he asks.

“I’ve been saying it for years and I’ve said it over and over. Then, “Why aren’t you sleeping yet?” he asks.

Osborne also explained that doctors had to administer four times the usual amount of anaesthetic, known as “two full syringes”, to put him to sleep for the operation.

Ozzy kicked most of his bad habits some time ago but still suffers from relapses and recently revealed he spent £600 on cannabis from a legal weed shop in California. Eventually, he decided he didn’t want to smoke, even if it was store-bought stuff nearby in Los Angeles.

Ozzy said of it: “I get it. What did you buy it for? “The four of us?”

“I just got the coronavirus, so I don’t need to smoke. I said, “That would be great.”

“But I’ve never smoked.”

When asked about his decision to leave his drug days behind, Osborne said: “What keeps me going now is that I’ve stayed true to myself.”

“One of the main reasons I welcomed my family with open arms was because I came out,” the speaker said. “I don’t have a damn face.”

Recently, Ozzy has faced health issues and suffered a serious fall that required surgery and a long recovery. In addition, he was diagnosed with a form of Parkinson’s disease.

Ozzy’s wife Sharon, who underwent “major” back surgery a month ago, recently revealed she is “on the mend” following the operation. The former The X Factor judge, 69, said her husband is “fine” after undergoing surgery which “could determine the rest of his life”.

When asked about the accident that left him injured, Ozzy said, “I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and I lost my balance and fell flat on my face.”

As I fell to the ground I saw a big white flash and I said, “Finally you made it.”

“I knew it was painful and I thought I was paralyzed. So I very kindly said to Sharon, “Sharon, I can’t move.” I think I broke my neck. For emergency assistance, call 9-1-1. We wish Ozzy the best of luck with his surgery and his revision surgery in the near future.
