When a hard-working Australian farmer was collecting eggs from his chickens every day, he had no idea he was about to stumble upon something truly special.

Imagine his surprise when he found an egg that was three times larger than normal and weighed up to 6.2 ounces. The surprising discovery was made by a free-range chicken from Stockman’s Eggs, based on the picturesque Atherton Tablelands in north Queensland.

Farm owner Scott Stockman couldn’t contain his excitement and proudly shared a photo of the giant egg. Its size was already breathtaking, but what was inside was even more interesting. Inside the egg was another fully developed egg.

“It’s just incredible,” Mr Scott told ABC News Australia. “It’s just amazing how two perfectly formed eggs come together.”

Even experts are baffled by this unusual phenomenon. Associate Professor Raf Freire, a veterinary specialist at Charles Sturt University, said he had never seen anything like this before.

He said the hen was going through the normal process of egg development, but for some reason did not lay any eggs. Instead, another egg was released the next day, and the chicken miraculously decided to form a shell around the new egg and the egg it had laid the previous day.

Experts have confirmed that this double egg is completely safe to eat, considering that Stockmann’s Egg Company produces a staggering 50,000 eggs per day. , decided not to eat. It turned out he had a great day at the farm.
