Kirk Douglas donated most of his fortune to charity, leaving nothing to his son Michael Douglas and daughter-in-law Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Douglas died on February 5 at the age of 103.
After Douglas died, he left $50 million of his $60 million fortune to the Douglas Foundation, which aims to “help those who cannot help themselves.”
Among the beneficiaries of his homonymous foundation are the University of St. Lawrence, which supports scholarships for minority and disadvantaged students, and Temple Sinai in Westwood, home to the Kirk and Ann Douglas Children’s Center.
