On what would have been her mother Jane Mansfield’s 90th birthday, Mariska Hargitay paid tribute to her memory.
The Law & Order: SVU actress posted a photo of her mother and a touching statement on Instagram.
“Happy birthday mom. We strive every day to love you more,” Hargitay wrote. Will Rock Hunter’s success ruin everything? The actress also posted a short video of her mother on her Instagram story.
Mansfield, née Vera Jane Palmer (born April 19, 1933), rose to fame as one of Hollywood’s most glamorous blondes in the 1950s and 1960s.
She was considered the beloved of Marilyn Monroe, also known as “Worker Monroe.”

She tragically died in a car accident in 1967, prematurely ending her life. Mansfield was 34 years old.
Hargitay, who was 3 years old at the time, was sitting in the back seat of the car with his two brothers.
The children were unharmed, but Mansfield, his lawyer friend Sam Brody, and their driver Ronnie Harrison died instantly.
