Who doesn’t love good old-fashioned lemonade?

There’s nothing better on a sunny day than running into a little kid who wants to sell you an ice-cold glass of lemonade.

Recently, the police approached a boy named Landen who was selling lemonade and cookies near his house.

The boy’s grandmother recorded their conversation and posted it on Facebook.

Landen was contacted by Perez of the Ansonia, Connecticut Police Department, who asked him about his plans to make money selling lemonade.

Landen said he wanted to buy her blue sneakers for class. After the conversation, Officer Perez left.

Officer Perez returned to the 7-year-old’s lemonade stand, this time with a pair of blue sneakers for Landen.

To say Landen was happy would be an understatement.

Wendelin Narvaez praised Officer Perez, saying he “made my kid’s day yesterday and made me feel like royalty.”

Narvaez posted a photo a few days later of Landen smiling in his new sneakers. In response to Perez’s condolences,

Ansonia Police Chief Wayne Williams said the type of officer Perez has is “the type of officer we all want to hire.”

This is very true. Negative actions by police officers are often reported, but positive actions are not. It was a really thoughtful move.
