Popular TV personality Simon Cowell has had several health problems, most notably after two cycling accidents within two years.

Simon spoke about these events during his latest Today Show visit with fellow America’s Got Talent judges Terry Crews, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and more.

The 63-year-old celebrity, who previously crashed his e-bike in Malibu in 2020, suffered a similar fate while cycling in London in early 2022.

During a promotional segment for the upcoming 18th season of America’s Got Talent, Simon was asked about the impact the accident had on his outlook on life. He said of his physical condition before the accident: “I wasn’t in good shape before the accident, so it wasn’t good, it was awful.”

It wasn’t until the next course of treatment that I realized how unfit I was. And he said, “It was a revelation, a truly divine moment!” Simon noticed her passion for riding and told her she had a purpose.

He said: “I’m not giving up my bike. I am completely obsessed with these two-wheeled wonders.

When Simon was rushed to hospital after the second incident, it was revealed he had suffered a concussion and possibly a broken arm. The second accident wasn’t as bad as the first, but he broke his back and had to wear a bracelet for a week.

Following these events, Simon adopted a healthy lifestyle, especially for his nine-year-old son Eric. Simon was influenced by his fiancee, Lauren Silverman.

In an interview with The Sun last April, he spoke openly about his experience of dealing with the effects of an e-bike accident. “When I broke my back, I was in such a terrible place that I felt like I needed to get treatment for the first time in my life,” she said.

It was hard for me to express my feelings to Eric and I was feeling miserable. I wondered if I would ever be able to do physical activities with him again, like soccer or walks.

Simon and Lauren welcomed Eric on Valentine’s Day 2014. The TV star later revealed that she came up with the perfect nickname for her son after he suffered a bike accident.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge told Entertainment Tonight that he felt a little “embarrassed” after the episode when he returned home.

The operation left Simon with metal rods and screws in his back, but he found comfort in his son comparing him to the famous superhero Iron Man.

“When I got back to my family, Eric said, ‘Dad, you look like Iron Man.’ Simon recalled fondly. “Yeah, I look like Iron Man.” I said smiling. Simon was later able to laugh off his misfortune, regardless of the serious injury he sustained while filming AGT in June 2021.

More curious than ever, Terry asked Simon if he could watch father and son do dangerous tricks, including practicing Shaolin Kung Fu, together during the family challenge. Simon answered the two with a joke.

“After I broke my back I walked around the garden with Eric and I thought it was a great achievement. But I couldn’t stop thinking, “Maybe that’s not such a good idea!”. “While you are there. Simon’s journey of perseverance and self-reflection is a testament to the indomitable spirit that drives him forward.

Despite the hardships of his bicycle accident, he continues to lead an interesting life and maintains his love for riding while finding humor in his experiences.
