The Bidens have announced the death of Champ, their ‘adoring’ German Shepherd.

The Bidens said Champ, their “beloved” German shepherd who had been with them since 2008, died Saturday.

A White House spokesman said Champ died at the Biden family’s home in Wilmington, Delaware. President Joe Biden and Mrs. Jill said, “We will tell you that we are calm at Shepards’s house that we like because we are hard last night.” “In the past 13 years he loved him in our stable and loved companions and all the wealth.”

“At the end of the day, there was no sunlight in the garden to take a break with it but to wavy.”

“He tried to hold his nephew when he was delighted to drive the bay on the grass in front of the Navy Observer or when he played with Delaware -Ao Tuin.”

In December 2008, during the president, he joined his family and was appointed vice -president of Baul only a few weeks later. Champion has been with Biden on some of his “happiest days” and “saddest days,” Biden said Saturday.

The champion’s health has deteriorated in recent months due to old age. Biden picked up his German shepherd from a breeder in Spring City, Pennsylvania, when he was a month old.

Champ’s purchase fulfills Jill Biden’s promise to buy a puppy if she and Barack Obama win the presidential election. During the 2008 holidays, Biden’s grandchildren helped him name his new puppy Champ, an homage to the nickname his father gave his son, according to Biden’s press secretary at the time.

“I’ve had German shepherds since I was little,” Biden said shortly after adopting Champ. The Biden family’s other German shepherd, Major, is a 3-year-old puppy adopted from the Delaware Humane Society in November 2018. Earlier this year, Biden told reporters that he adopted Major in part to keep Champ busy and active.

The two dogs were featured in Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign announcement, and less than a week after Champ and Major took office, Biden revived the presidential tradition of bringing dogs to the White House.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved German Shepherd, Champ, passed away peacefully at home this evening.” He was our steadfast and loving friend for the past 13 years and was loved by the entire Biden family.

As Champion’s strength waned in his final months, he would immediately nudge us to wag his tail, scratch his ears, or pat his belly. He wanted to be wherever we were and everything was better when he was around.

Nothing made him happier than hugging our feet at the end of the day, joining us as a comforter on dates, or sunbathing in the White House garden. He would chase golf balls on the lawn in front of the Naval Observatory or catch his grandchildren as they walked through the Delaware yard.

He is with us in our happiest and most difficult moments, paying attention to all our unspoken feelings and emotions. We love our sweet sweet son and will never forget him.’
