Megan was diagnosed with the condition when she was 15 when she developed one of her incredibly unique legs. The woman became a “victim” and was often insulted by those around her because of this special feature of her body.
Megan decided to hide her disability as much as possible because it affected her deeply and made her feel ashamed. She was never seen wearing shorts, a bathing suit or a skirt. She kept everything a secret, even from her partner Robert, 27.
Although Megan struggled at first, she realized she had to overcome the stigma surrounding her illness. As a result, people who have gone through the same situation have received encouragement from others. As a result, Meghan decided to live life to the fullest and is now an inspiration and role model for women everywhere.
“I don’t know how I kept it a secret for so long. I don’t think other young women should have to go through what I went through. There were times when I wanted to put the situation behind me. After I recognized my problem and decided to stop hiding it, I was very happy.
When I thought about my depression… I didn’t even want to go to school. “Instead, I felt sad every day and felt like my life was over when I was 15,” Meghan said.
